Old and New Car Pictures

Car pictures have long been the best means to make the public aware of old and new automobile brands and models. Advertisements in magazines, tv, and the internet have utilized professional quality car photographs and car drawings to highlight the best stylistic features of many automobiles. Car designs are often the work of someone who was a dreamer in his youth and visualized how future cars would be streamlined. Classy Cars is a collection of such snapshots for your viewing. In some respects, it is a personal historical record of the changes made in automobile design over the years, particularly the past three decades. In looking at this collection of old and new car pictures, it becomes evident that the design of an older car could be considered as beautiful as the sleek design of the modern car of today. It is up to the viewer to make the distintion between what is "old" and what is "new" as cars of several decades are placed on each of these pages. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that is very true in looking at "classy" automobiles, past and present.

Special Mention: The Volkswagen Passat has been named the 2012 Motor Trend Car of the Year. The popular magazine has been presenting its Car of the Year award since 1949. The Passat has been lengthened to better suit the North American and China public. It has an impressive but not too bold exterior body design and the interior is not flashy but arouses respect for its well-designed instrument panel and chosen materials to please both new and old Passat owners.

This website presents a collection of elegant and stylish car photos, or "classy" in the eye of the beholder. Most of the car pictures date from the year 1980 to the present. (New Chevy car models can be found online and are available at Phoenix Chevrolet dealers in Arizona.)  There has been no attempt to present pictures of only the "best" or the "highest priced" cars. Classy Cars does not hold the copyright on most of these photos. They are just pictures of old cars and new cars that make a statement of respect to the manufacturers and to the owners. Thanks must go out to the many individuals who took a moment to snap and post the pictures on newsgroups, used car sites, and advertisements. Most of these photographs can be found on other web sites in a larger or wallpaper size format and you can use the provided  related links to look for larger snapshots or information on these cars.
