Audi heralded in a new era in presenting the ASF (Audi Space Frame) aluminium study vehicle in autumn 1993 at the Tokyo Motor Show. The aluminium
Audi celebrated its world debut but in March 1994, as the successor to the Audi V8. The new model designation A8 signalled a radical shift in Audi's model-naming policy. The Audi A6 followed in the summer, with the new Audi A4 being launched in November 1994.
This latter Audi model rapidly brought further success to the company: in 1995, 120,000 of the Audi A4 were sold in Germany alone.

"While the Q7 may be Audi's first-ever sport-utility, its strength and refinement suggest that Audi has been in this game for years, if not decades. As such, the Q7 represents a fresh and beautifully rendered newcomer to the luxury SUV segment. Like other Audis, the Q7 is a paragon of driving elegance and interior refinement."

It is important that one have the car's brakes checked personally or by a reliable mechanic from time to time, especially if used on back roads. The dust from the pads, shoes, and rotors is extremely dangerous and contains asbestos. Brake cleaning solvents also tend to be very toxic so when working on the brakes, make sure you have a good flow of air around you. Any time you work on or around brakes, you should clean up the area and any exposed skin, and immediately wash your clothes when the job is completed.
Do not attempt to do your own brake job unless you have had prior experience and training. A poor job here can kill you.
