Cadillac has done much to set standards in the automotive field. In 1975, Cadillac became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to install electronic fuel injection and it introduced the catalytic converter to its models. Cadillac became the first auto manufacturer to test digital computerization in cars in 1978. Known for quality and service, Cadillac was also the first American luxury carmaker to implement a 24-hour, 365 day-a-year roadside service program. In 1990, the Cadillac Allante became the first front-wheel drive vehicle with electronic traction control. Cadillac continues to maintain its reputation for quality.
