If you are found guilty you shall be punished by imprisonment in a county jail for not less than five days nor more than 90 days or by a fine of not less than one hundred forty-five dollars ($145) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both. Some people feel this type of light punishment does not send out the proper message to speeders and those who disregard safe driving practices.
