Henry Leland was associated with the first Oldsmobile and is renowned as the designer and founder of the Cadillac.
In 1921 he produced another luxury car which he named after one of the greatest presidents, Lincoln.
From 1968 through 1979 the Mark and the Continental had been different cars. But for 1980-83 the Mark VI was based on the Continental/Town Car. The Versailles was dropped for 1981 and
the Continental name was replaced on the base Lincoln by Town Car. For 1982, the Continental name was revived on an entirely new car, the smallest in Lincoln's history
to this point. Lincoln continues as one of America's finest cars.

LINCOLN CARS
"The key difference between the 2007 Lincoln MKX and outgoing Aviator is that the new model is built on a car-like unibody, which performs best on pavement, while the Aviator is built on Ford Explorer's truck-like ladder frame, which holds advantages for off-road use but isn’t ideal for on-road driving.
The MKX shares its chassis and mechanicals with the recently introduced Mazda CX-7 and Ford Edge. The MKX has a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter aluminum V6 and new six-speed automatic transmission."

When you are buying a new or used car, it is best not to be an impulse buyer. If you send signals to the car salesman that you are enthralled by a certain car, he knows he can keep the price a little higher than normal
and you will probably buy it. If you base your car purchase on emotions, you might buy a car you where you can't really afford the payments or down the road you won't be very satisfied with. Another suggestion is to let the salesman first offer you a price he will sell the car for
prior to you making any offer.
