No longer in production, the Oldsmobile was a brand of automobile produced by General Motors.
The Toronado was one of the first large cars with front-wheel drive and it won the Motor Trend Car of Year award in 1966 for its unique and innovative styling.
In 1988, Oldsmobile broke a world closed-course speed record with the Oldsmobile Aerotech, driven by legendary race car driver A.J. Foyt. Oldsmobile was also the first carmaker in the
world to offer a GPS-based navigation system on a production automobile.
"When the Oldsmobile Aurora was unveiled in May of '94, it faced a formidable mission: To revive the moribund image and slumping sales performance of the Olds division--General Motors' weakest-performing division. But the Aurora proved to be equal to its mission. Equipped with a modified version of the front-drive Northstar powertrain that gave more oomph to GM's new generation of Cadillacs--with maneuverability and responsiveness to match--the Aurora came out of the blocks with a full head of steam."
Change the oil in your engine every 3000 miles. The filter should be changed at the same time. Newer synthetic oils are said to last longer without breaking down. When you change the oil, check the fluids, the air filter, tires, hoses and belts. Also check the battery cables and terminals for corrosion which can be removed with a wire brush or sandpaper.
Make the routine for the care of your car a top priority.
